Who Wore It Better? Mid-Life Crisis Edition

Checking in quickly for an early, special edition of Who Wore It Best?

This year, George Clooney, Julia Roberts, and Brad Pitt, those high wattage movie star besties so dear to my Gen X heart, all starred in awards-conversation films featuring a full-fledged middle-age-turning-to-later-years What Is My Life's Work? crisis, with a bonus shared plot point of Who Does This Young Whippersnapper Think S/He Is?

And I loved all of them.

Only F1 has ended up with Oscar nominations, so Brad is going to have to carry this particular torch through the home stretch ("Wait for the straightaway!") but the Golden Globes did acknowledge George and Julia too.

Jay Kelly - Hollywood, fake friends, Europe, awards, acting, sincerity, trains, career-spanning montage

After the Hunt - academia, fake friends, pontificating, marriage, relationships, advisors, group think, ivory tower, identity, was-s/he-just-using-me?

F1 - racing, real friends, fake fans, managers, family, co-workers, team building, car building, media, corporate sponsors, mavericks, mistakes, Europe, Las Vegas, Abu Dhabi, casino, podium finish, lessons learned

Who Wore It Best?

I LOVE THEM ALL
